Sermões

The ability to perform sermons is unlocked when you get the Preacher perk as part of the story progression. The Preacher perk is obtained when you speak to the bishop on after having achieved a graveyard quality of 5 or higher.

To perform a sermon, wait for until sunrise then go to the church, stand behind the lectern and press the action button (E) to pray, then select the sermon/prayer to perform, a short cutscene will play out showing a reaction of the congregation and giving you an idea of how the sermon went, afterward the members of the congregation will all provide a donation based on your Graveyard Rating and Church Rating .

Note: If you already have performed a service that day, you'll get an error message, saying that you have to wait until next . This is misleading before sunrise, because then, it says next too, but it's actually only waiting for sunrise.

Each sermon you can perform has a requirement to be 100% successful. You can still perform a sermon in a church below that requirement but it will have a chance to fail. Your church rating determines how many parishioners will attend your sermon as well as the amount of faith you will get as a result of your sermon. The amount of faith you receive is based on the Church quality. The amount of money you receive is based on the Graveyard quality.

Sermon Topics

All sermon topics must first be unlocked via various technologies and then must be crafted at the desk for use in a sermon. The exception to this is the casual prayer which is given by default when the church is first opened.

A successful sermon provides additional faith and coins specified on the prayer. Otherwise, you'll just get the base results.
