The cabin in the woods is a cozy new place that was introduced in the full release of the game.
The player may sleep inside (and save the game) as there is a bed available.
Unlocking[ | ]
There are 2 ways to unlock this area:
- After you repair the stone bridge that leads to the swamp, you follow the road until it ends. You'll find a path that's blocked by some rocks. You need to clear that path and go straight north.
- Follow the path north of the graveyard (or north-west of your home), into the forest. There's a path that's blocked by some rocks. Once you clear that path, go north-west again, following the river, there will be a small footbridge that allows you to cross the river.
Mining[ | ]
There are five infinite resources available for mining in this area (from west to east):
- One big iron ore deposit, which gives
Iron block when mined. - One big stone quarry, which gives
Stone block when mined. You will need 4×
Wood wedge for two blocks. You can also employ zombies here. - One big marble quarry (has to be built in advance), to allow gathering of
Marble block. You will need 4×
Wood wedge for two blocks. You can also employ zombies here. - One combined
Iron ore and
Coal deposit, where you can set up a zombie ore mine as soon as you've unlocked zombies. - One big coal deposit, which gives 20-30
Coal when mined.
Workstations[ | ]
The workbench for placing all the workstations is located in the northwest corner of the workyard. For most stations, you have to unlock the related technology first.
