Krezvold is the blacksmith of the village. He is located southeast of the tavern. He trades metal and metalworking products. He will refuse to speak with you until you complete a quest for Horadric and bring a letter to him.

After you reach 10Happiness with him you can ask about ore deposits and he will tell you that he used to harvest most of his iron ore from the swamp before the stone bridge leading to it was broken. Oddly, Krezvold’s house will say that you need to have 80Happiness to come in, but it is impossible to get Krezvold higher than 20.

When progressing through the DLC Stranger sins, there is a possibility to receive Damask sword with gem from Krezvold as you walk out of Sweet Home. He will come to you and give you the sword in hurry saying that one of his clients asked him to melt it but he didn't and now a crime was committed in the Town using this same sword.

Kill Slimes[ | ]

After delivering Horadric's letter to Krezvold and receiving 10Happiness with Krezvold, he will ask you to kill some slimes at the back of his house. To do this he gives you a broken
rusty sword
,
energy potion
, and a
whetstone
. You have to use the whetstone to repair the sword at the grindstone (next to his house) and use it to kill the slimes. Afterwards you need to bring the
green jelly
back to Krezvold and receive
Simple iron parts
. When this quest is completed you will have the ability to create green and red jelly. You will also be able to trade with Krezvold.

At 10Happiness you are able to ask him where to find metal ore. Krezvold will tell you that you can find metal ore in the swamp that's located west, across the river. You also unlock the furnace recipe, you can create iron ingots and you are able to gather iron ore.
