Ease of Access[]
I would highly suggest having the navigation as a bar at the top of the front page instead of having to scroll down to "Useful links"
- I've moved the links to the top of the page. Some of the styling may still need to be moved around as a consequence but I hope for now it's more usable. Quadrapod (talk) 10:50, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
Style[]
I think it would be rather nice if we could get some increased opacity as well as some cleaner table headers and the like. The background can be a little noisy when it comes through behind text and the fence behind the table headers can be downright awful in places. Quadrapod (talk) 09:59, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- This is my feeling as well. The background image combined with the white text can be a bit difficult to read sometimes. Spaseman101 (talk) 13:57, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- It drives me crazy, but I did not put it there and don't know of a better option. Thoughts? Anselem (talk) 18:18, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- It looks like the css for the wiki is stored here - https://graveyardkeeper.gamepedia.com/MediaWiki:Hydradark.css - removeing the bg file should change the bg to a solid color. We could even find a different image to use. Spaseman101 (talk) 22:18, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- I played aaround some with my personal css and changed the background of the main table to "background-color: #171a21;" and it has improved the sites readability for me by a ton. I don't know if everyone would agree but I really like it. Spaseman101 (talk) 23:35, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- Changed the background opacity and got rid of the fences in most tables. Sorted tables still have them though.

Links and Information[]
I've been thinking about the navigation and the design of things in general the past few days. I think it would be good if the Links and Information section on the main page were more noticeable. I was thinking that it could be centered and larger if that's possible with images. Kyreeva (talk) 09:50, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
No Pixel Fonts Please[]
So, one of the more recent additions is killing my eyes. Look at desk page for example. There used to be a normal font used for displaying numbers in crafting requirements. Now it's a pixel Frankenstein. I don't know who's idea that was, and maybe for a nostalgically inclined user with better sight than mine that's an improvement. For me it's the opposite. Dunno if I'm alone on this but this font literally hurts my eyes. Literally hurts. As in forces them to strain (especially the '8's which you can see at the top of the page in crafting requirements for the desk itself). I'm not just complaining about it being visually unpleasant (though IMHO it IS, but that's a separate matter). It's actually less easy to read than the normal font that there used to be. So unless this got voted most desired gimmick in the world or something, can we please NOT use it any more and go back to normal fonts please?
Also, as far as I understand changing something like that requires changing the template.
So, long story short I'm neither qualified nor entitled enough to revert such changes on my own. But I'd really like the old fonts back both for aesthetic and practical reasons, and so here I am raising this topic.
- The change has been reverted across all the templates it was applied to. It's entirely my fault, to me the aesthetic seemed to make the formatting of values a little nicer. I spend hours upon hours producing pixel art and have spent the better part of several days cleaning up game sprites for the wiki though so I'm likely not the best judge for eye strain. It wasn't even something I'd considered. The change has been rolled back and generally no cosmetic effect is worth giving someone a headache. I apologize for any ill effects suffered. Please inform me if you come across any still pages using that font. Quadrapod (talk) 00:28, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
- Wow, that was fast! Not to mention surprisingly polite and considerate. Thanks, much appreciated. It's not often I find people so quick to consider someone else's views and circumstances (especially when that someone is a stranger on the internet). For all it's worth, you've got my respect.
